Residents of Boeng Kak and Borei Keila rally in front Senate to present petitions to Senate President Chea Sim and the Japanese embassy
PHNOM PENH (Cambodia Herald) - Residents of property development sites at Boeng Kak and Borei Keila presented petitions Friday to Senate President Chea Sim and the Japanese embassy, sources said.

The sources said the Borei Keila residents appealed for support in urging property developer Phanimex Co to construct two more buildings as housing for the homeless.

Boeng Kak representative Doung Kea said the petition also sought Japanese support for the release of 15 protestors serving prison sentences of up to two and a half years.
