Belarus ready to expand cooperation with Cambodia in all aspects

21.06.2012

This was stated by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko when meeting with the President of the National Assembly of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Cambodia Heng Samrin. According to the Belarusian leader, the current visit of the Cambodian delegation to Belarus is the beginning of a new stage of cooperation between the two countries.

Dmitry Kostin reports: Today the Kingdom of Cambodia is one of the most dynamically developing countries of South-East Asia. This is why Belarus is interested in the development of all-round cooperation.
Diplomatic relations between Cambodia and the Republic of Belarus were established 17 years ago. But now the bilateral contacts received additional impetus, mostly thanks to the MPs of the two countries.

The promotion of interests of Belarus and South-East Asia is possible by means of the expansion of direct economic cooperation. At the moment, Belarusian products are supplied to Cambodia via third countries, and this significantly increases the final cost of goods and services.
