SVAY RIENG, 11 May 2012 (Cambodia Herald) -Svay Rieng Provincial Court
has summoned three garment factory workers shot by a district governor
during a protest to appear in court on May 18, a lawyer said Friday.

Lida, the lawyer for the three victims, said investigating judges
"need the three women for clarification" after their earlier testimony.
Chhouk Bandith, the former governor of Bavet, a casino and factory district on
the Vietnam border, has been charged with causing unintentional injury
after opening fire on protesting worker earlier this year.
The victims, 21-year-old Bun Chinda, 16-year-old Keo Nea and 23-year-old Nout Sorphorn, were seriously injured.
Civil
society groups, trade unions and human rights activists have criticized
the charge, for which the former governor has not been detained.
