CCHR
today releases the fifth fact sheet of 2012 in its "Case Study" series,
a series which covers a broad range of subjects relating to human
rights violations in Cambodia. This fact sheet provides an overview of
the continuing tragedy involving the Borei Keila community of Phnom
Penh, focusing on the recent death of a baby as a result of the
appalling conditions in the resettlement camps ("The Continuing Borei
Keila Tragedy") -
please see attached in English and Khmer. It is particularly important
in light of yesterday's events involving the Boeung Kak communities
that attention on other cases is maintained and that these communities
are not forgotten. The fact sheet will soon be available in both English and Khmer on CCHR's website at: CCHR Fact Sheets.
We hope that you find the fact sheet useful and interesting. If you should want to discuss it or any related issues, please don't hesitate to contact Ouch Leng (at ouchleng@cchrcambodia.org or on +855 (0) 1670 5567) or Robert Finch (at robert.finch@cchrcambodia.org or on +855 (0) 7880 9960).
Kind regards,
CCHR
