Pray for the Viets and the Chinese to have a big war, so Cambodia can take Koh Tral back

Anonymous said...

Re:Oil dispute flares up [between Cambodia and Thailand]

It [the map] has shown very clearly that Koh Tral Island (Phu Quoc) is ways inside Cambodia...Why we lost this island to Viet?

To the above commenter: I felt sorrowful inside my heart and soul every time there is an article about our island, the surrounding sea island of KOH TRAL. Correct me if I write something that's [in]correctly.

Here are the reasons that I had researched about why the Viets were able to stole our Koh Tral Island and the world did not give a rat's ass:

1. French Colonial Governor, Brevie, had drawn the lines called "Ligne Brevie" (The Brevie Line) to separate South Vietnam and Kampuchea during those colonial days. This Brevie was stated was ONLY an Administrative govern only not border treaties. [Actually Brevie drew an administrative line, not border line, in the sea for the purpose of administrative procedures].

2. We are unfortunate to have pathetic, incompetent, corrupted, low IQ, womanizers, naive leaders through decades.

3. When France gave us independence in 1953, we had no real Armed Forces. So the Viets, Thais, Laotians moved many of border posts inside Cambodia. Plus our main population were only concentrated in towns, area not wilderness border area. Our population are much less than Vietnam and Thailand.

4. The Khmer Rouge took a chance to let all hell break loose, attacked Vietnam and lost the War [The Khmer Rouge did not attack Vietnam first, they only responded to encroachments by Vietnam]. The KR period was the only time when we actually controlled Koh Tral. Viets won the war and forced this Puppet Regime officially to sign Agreements in 1985 to give away Koh Tral and many land border areas to them. It was Ratified by our pathetic clown king. [The agreement was ratified by the parliament in 2005 and given a royal assent by the king].

5. For the world, it is better to kiss the Viets' ass because it is much more profitable, in the billions of dollars, rather than to help find JUSTICE for a people who are poor and poor leaders like Cambodia.

6. These are just my views ONLY with some facts. I lived in America for 31 years and still loved Cambodia and her people. God will find JUSTICE for people who truly deserved one. Peace on Cambodia!

Now I knew why my father hated the French?...He even mentioned that the French tortured Prince Sisowath [Yutevong?] in jail to death...So, the French were the ones who screwed up something in the past!
-------------------------------------
Anonymous said...

Yep, the French given had away Khmer Kampuchea Krom Lands to Vietnam without telling Khmer people...Its all the French's fault!
--------------------------------------
Anonymous said...

Yes, I agreed the French played a big parts and that's why we lost Koh Tral & Kampuchea Krom. Our traitors, including King Jayjetta II, had chosen one Viet's heaven hole [wife]. He agreed to let her people, who were fleeing from a war with the Northerners, the Dai-Viets, to settle down along the Mekong Delta areas as temporary refugees. Decades later they populated all over Kampuchea Krom and effectively made Khmer people there a minority in their own lands. This king also neglected these areas and her peoples. The Viets launched an uprising and finally controlled present day South Vietnam, which we still referred to as Kampuchea Krom with a capital of Prey Nokor, which the Viets called Saigon.

When the French arrived in 19th century [1863 to be exact], Kampuchea Krom was already under Viets control. The French gave it to the Viets officially in 1949 against Khmers protest.

So you see, our incompetent leaders were to be blamed too, not just the French and Viets.
I hope this will help clear some misunderstandings. I hope and pray that the Viets and the Chinese will have a big war when the Chinese will destroy the Viets. Then we can roll in and retake our land back. Now, this just my pipe dreams.

Ah Chkuot koh Tral has gone for ever. Itwas the fault of Cambodia. In the year 1940, 50, 6o's No Cambodia provincial governors visited Koh Tral, even No once. And Vietnamese people inhabited the Island more and more.

Never, Never the Cambodian government or provincial governor visited or claimed the Island.

Who are guilty for this loss? Don't dream Koh Tral will be back. It'DE JURE Vietnam Koh Tral.

Not only me all Cambodians feel something ver bad in their heart every time they see Koh Tral from Kep or Sihanouk ville.

It's the fault of Stupid Khmer ministers and governors in the past, who thought only about their pocket and never sent or encouraged Khmer people to settle in Koh tral, let alone Visit it one time!

Can't fault the French. They were our Savior weather you like it or not. When the French intervene in southeast Asia, there were no Cambodian borders. With their help and sacrifice we got what we have now. So lets not fault the foreigners for our problems again. Our leaders were too busy trying to higher themselves than what's left of our country.

Without or with the French protectorat, Cambodia existed and Cambodia will exist for another long years without French.
If you managed something, you have to take care well and fulfill your responsibility and protect the property and no excusable to say this and that.

Brevie drew the Brevie line in 1939 for administration only, he did not draw border line. But before the French left Indonchina it decided to give Koh Tral to Vietnam in 1949 in accordance with the Brevie line. That was totally wrong.

I agree with 6:06 PM that France was Cambodia's and Laos' savior. Without the French protectorate, Cambodia and Laos would have been swallowed by Siam and Annam (Vietnam).

When the French came in 1863, Cambodia was already torn into two pieces, the west side of the Mekong River was occupied by Siam and the eastern side of the Mekong was occupied by Vietnam. When the French came, all of these two countries withdrew and France managed to get back Siem Reap, Battambang, Sirisophon (Banteay Meanchey) and Preah Vihear provinces.

So, all Khmers should thank France and the French for saving Cambodia from being swallowed by Siam and Vietnam. I agree that France should have given Kampuchea Krom and Koh Tral to Cambodia, but when the French withdrew from the territory in 1954, the majority of the population in Kampuchea Krom were Vietnamese, so the French parliament made its decision based on the reality.

Let conclude this: The king Ang Duong asked to come to Cambodia, avoiding the division of Cambodia between the Siam and Vietnam.

King Sihanouk took the opportunity to gain Independence 1953,avoiding the split of Cambodia by the Khmer Vietminh and Vietnam during the 1954 GENEVA conference on Indochina.

In 1962 Preah vihear temple came back to Cambodia, thank to King Sihanouk.

13 April 2912 10:18PM: I mean: King ANG Duong had asked France to Come to Cambodia....

To be fair, Khmers should be thankful for the French. Before the French came, Cambodia was wiped off the map of the Earth. Both Vietnam and Thailand have annexed Cambodia. In 1954, it was the French who gave you back your land. The French could give all provinces east of the Mekong to Vietnam too, considering they are tribal land that could go either way.

Some people have the history backward before the French Came.
"Kratie, Ratanakiri, Stung Treng and Mondulkiri were part of Laos until the French protectorate."
Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Administrative_divisions_of_Cambodia

The French really rescued the Kingdom and took it out of non-existent really.

Agree with 14 April 2012 12:59 AM. French had stopped the Annam (Vietnamese) aggressors to change the names of Khmer provinces, cities/towns during the French control or colony. French were able to do anything to protect the rare Angkor Wat from being ruined as you know, Mr. Henri Mouhot who was our Khmer hero. Mr. Henri Mouhot was in love with Angkor Wat and Angkor Complex extended to Laos and Thailand.

It is sad to hear some Khmer folks who blame Frenches for their faults. Because of the faults of Khmer leaders or Royals. Khmer royals and leaders were dumb and stupid to be deceived by two evils, Siam and Yuon, when it comes to playboy baits coming from Yuon and their declines and weakness because their hungers for wealth and power for themselves.

Who is to blame for all these lands lost to Annam and Siam ? I blame all due to incompetence khmers leaders start from sex-addictive Sdach Jaijaytha ll married to f&%#@k Yuon's gal to sdac Ang Duong,to a clown king Sdach Sinorook,toHun cent puppet of Hanoi today.

keep on Worrying folks! More land will be lost to these encroacherers [Siam+Annam] if our present's leader didn't do anything to protect what is left called [Cambodia] today.

In order to preserved or protected the leaders must look beyond the tip of their nose and loves Cambodia as much as his/her own life. When became leader whom ever it is must sworn in the protect and preserve the constitutions of Cambodia etc.

Leader must get rid of all favoritism, select only the best of the best to run the country, cut off ties influential a way from foreign, especially Annam and Siam.

We have heard of the company Anco brothers that lost 58millions recently it can only happened in corruptions Country like Cambodia that the money is evaporate to the thin air without anyone know, only in Cambodia that foreign born holding high power in office to representing cambodian's govt, whether you like it of not.

all illegal immigrates should be deported, background checks should be implemented to determines one origin if they are khmerized viets or illegal ones. I am sick of this multicutural bullshit. Just 2 weeks ago I've read about how 6,000 filopinos come here work in high class jobs, want about ethnic khmers who study overseas with degrees only to come back with no jobs, or work overseas as f@#king labors, only to be intimidated by a stupid lowlife work agency and systemtic abuse by foriegn employees and all the while a equally corrupted uncaring unpatriotic government do nothing but making our countrymen and women slaving and prostituting themselves to foriegners. certain young cambodians in this age are also so seduce with materialism and eager to embrace western idealism and multiculturalism that they are forgetting their roots. its a shame!!!!!

DCCP GUY 14 April 2012 10:19 AM you made very good point it is true I support your opinion. Even Philipino who just graduated from Philipine university unable to have high job in their country and oversea but they got high (good)job in Cambodia this is because of their government and job agency work very hard to exploite and took advantages of Cambodia bad reputation and bad images of has no intellectual as PM always said Cambodia start from scratch and everything was destroyed. Khmer has intelligence the same as other country even much better in some cases.

MP has created job for Vietnamese, Chinese, and Asean but not for Khmer. He does not create job centre or provide any other information related to job hunters but his TV broadcasting only his images and his cronies. Shame on Him

"The KR period was the only time when we actually controlled Koh Tral."

Wrong fact!

Check it again!

Vietnam took and controlled Koh Tral right after the French left Indochina. Though it belongs to Cambodia, we have never had a chance of defending it or even controlling it.

It had been a de facto occupation until 2005. Now it has become a legal occupation because of the 2005 treaty!

VietCong should have taken "SvayRieng, Kratie, Ratanakiri, Stung Treng and Mondulkiri" and got the fack out when they withdraw from Cambodia. All legal and illegal youns or Khmer Krom people throughout Cambodia should been moved to these provinces, then build a K5 type wall along the Mekong and shutdown the border with Cambodia. VCs can kiss Cambodia goodbye and forget about it, let the Khmers manage their own country from then on... Siams or Chinese can do whatever they want the rest of Cambodia.

Yuon took the land & island, but Khmer Rouge took the lives and fleshes from Khmers.

Anonymous said...

15 April 2012 10:40 AM. I agree. But CPP and Hun Sen sell the land and island to the Youn.

Hey check the Facts. During KR, the Khmer Rough troops launch a beach head attacks on a few VC forces and captured Koh Tral. KR forces were weaken around this areas by American bombings in retaliated for KR captured American Mayguez freighter entering Kampuchea sea areas.

Anonymous said...

Hahaha...if Khmers are thankful to French for saving their land, then they have to be thankful to Yuon for saving the Khmer lifes from extinction at the hands of Khmer Rouge. The consequences are similiar in term of their (both French & VN) occupation of Cambodia.
