London Olympian thanked Khmerization

Dear wonderful person behind Khmerization,
Re: Khmerization helped London Olympics select a Cambodian Olympian

On behalf of Kosal Khiev, thank you deeply from all of us here at Studio Revolt for your original message encouraging us to contact Anna Selby. It was after receiving your email that I did contact Anna and provided her with more information about Kosal and his work. Weeks later, we had received an invitation for Kosal's participation!

It is a very exciting time for Cambodia and its diaspora. The Cambodian artists are taking to the world stage again, and we all should be very proud of each one of them. It doesn't matter what people have done in the past, no one can forget their past, one must only learn from mistakes and move forward with positivity. Kosal is a true example of someone trying to transform his life and outlook through art. We are proud to send him to the cultural Olympics to represent the power of poetry!

Thank you for all your continued support and for your wonderful blogsite.

best,
anida yoeu ali

Below was Khmerization's message to Kosal Khiev:

"Dear Kosal,

I just got an email from Anna seeking Cambodian poets, rappers. Can you help her? Below is a message to me.

Hello, I wonder if you can help me? I am organizing Poetry Parnassus, the world biggest Poetry festival. It will be held here in London this summer as part of the Olympics and we are inviting one poet for each Olympic country. Please could you recommend some good, living poets for Cambodia? They can be poets, rappers or do spokenword. We are especially looking for female poets.

Thank you for your help,

Anna Anna Selby

Some people bashed Khmerization and Ki-Media for many reasons. But they can't touch this one. Good job Khmerization for not only putting forth the political awareness but also humanitarian awareness for all Khmers.

khmerization is much more liberal then KI-media, even if we do get ultra-nationalist here everyone is well behaved most of the time, majority of bloggers to KI-Media seemed out of context.

I remember a few posts regarding how cambodian women gets married overseas to taiwanese or koreangetting mistreated, instead of showing support, some display ignorance towards them. They are our sisters, why be harsh on them.

Are we Khmer or are still going to eat each other, and most stupid thing of all is bring up skin color. light black or blue really who cares. When your poor people treat you like a dog.

Foreigners gonna laugh at our face for our disunity.
