Cebu Pacific launches new route from Manila to Siem Reap

Having recently launched new routes from Manila (MNL) to Hanoi and Xiamen, Cebu Pacific continues to grow its international network out of the Philippine capital with services to Siem Reap (REP). The carrier, which is currently the second-largest international airline in the Philippines and plans to introduce low-cost long-haul services, will offer three weekly flights on the pioneering route to the Cambodian city, which serves as the gateway to the Angkor region, world-famous for its temples. This is the first and only non-stop connection between the Philippines and Cambodia. The airline’s fleet of 150-seat A319s will be deployed on the 1,900-kilometre route. Inaugurating the new service on 19 April, Candice Iyog, the airline’s VP Marketing and Distribution, commented: “Full load on the maiden flight marks a momentous occasion for the Philippine-Cambodia tourism.” See pictures here.
