AKP Phnom Penh, April 9, 2012 –Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen this morning inaugurated a 1,287-kilometer border strategic road from Banteay Meanchey northwestern province to Stung Treng northeastern province.
The road links Poipet of Banteay Meanchey to the western bank of Mekong River in Stung Treng bypassing through Oddar Meanchey, Siem Reap, Kampong Thom and Preah Vihear provinces. It took three years from 2009 to 2011 to build the road, which will contribute to boosting trade, tourism, economic growth, reducing poverty and developing the country’s border areas.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said transforming former battlefields into a developed area is one of the Cambodian royal government’s priorities.
Former battlefields such as Mom Bei, Pailin, Samlot and Koh Kong have been being transformed into developed areas and markets, he pointed out.
The Cambodian premier further highlighted the importance of physical integration, stressing that political and administrative integration is not enough without physical integration, especially road connectivity.
Meanwhile, Samdech Techo Hun Sen also inaugurated a 117-kilometer portion of National Road No. 68 from Kralanh in Siem Reap province to O’ Smach in Oddar Meanchey province.
The roads were built by using the national budget, and Bayon and CTN funds.

National Budget - CPP, Hun Sen
Bayon TV - CPP, Hun Sen's daughter
CTN - CPP Hun Sen relatives.
Can we be sure that these roads wont be near CPP officials and CPP associates mass properties?
