PHNOM PENH (Cambodia Herald) – Interior Minister Sar Kheng (pictured) said that all security guards at private companies were not allowed to use weapons or wear police uniforms.
Speaking on Radio France Internationale, he also said that the owners of private companies had no right to employ police or the military as guards.
Chan Soveth, senior investigator at the Cambodian Human Rights and Development Association (Adhoc) welcomed the statement by Sar Kheng, who is also a deputy prime minister.
He said companies should make it clear to their security guards that they could not use guns.

Cannot hire police, but its ok to hire military or Hun sen body guard unit to commit killings and many other crimes
