Phnom Penh (Cambodia Herald)- The United States urged the Cambodian government Thursday to solve the land dispute in Borei Keila, warning that the dispute could lead to social instability.
"The evictions and land disputes may lead to instability in society, and it is very important that the government and related partners have to solve the dispute transparently and responsibly," said Jeff Daigle, the deputy chief of mission of the US Embassy to Cambodia.
Some Berei Keila residents have not been provided with proper housing after being evicted.
