PHNOM PENH (Cambodia Herald) - Chinese mining company Junlin International Holding Co plans to invest $500 million on a five-year project to explore for minerals in Kampot and Preah Vihear provinces, a senior National Assembly official said Friday.
Korm Kosal, director of the office of National Assembly President Heng Samrin, said Junlun president Henry Shie announced the plan during a meeting with Heng Samrin and that a memorandum of understanding had been signed with local investor Roth Sakhorn.
China's Hainan Agpro Group recently announced plans to invest $500 million in agriculture in Cambodia.
