PHNOM PENH (Cambodia Herald) - King Norodom Sihamoni is expected to travel to China this week with King Father Norodom Sihanouk and his wife, Prince Sisowath Thomico said Tuesday. The prince, who is assistant to the King Father, acknowledged that Sihanouk had previously vowed to "stay in Cambodia forever and not leave for China again
"However, he was recommended by Chinese doctors who said that even though they could travel to Cambodia they would not be able to bring medical equipment.
"So the King Father should visit China where where they have medical equipment for his medical checkup and treatment," the prince said.
Another source said the departure was scheduled for Thursday.
