After a decade of fighting desert wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Marines from Camp Pendleton are learning how to fight in a wholly different terrain: the jungles of Cambodia.
Marines from the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit are in Cambodia training with the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces. Among the topics is what the Marines call "jungle familiarization" — that is, how to move a platoon or company through thick vegetation.
Lt. Col. Michael Wylie, the 11th MEU executive officer and the officer in charge of the exercise for the Marines, said the goal is "exposing a generation of Marines accustomed to life in the desert to the challenges of the jungle."

Did anyone's remembered whose start the war in our country? and don't be foul by USA arm force help and trained our soldier for what reason. just don't forget the history that Cambodian people suffered so much because of in the name of AMERICAN INTEREST in SOUTH EAST ASIA.SO PART-2 coming soon to the region.I hope our Khmer leader recognize that.LOVE KHMER
I hope these boys don't start any trouble. Just imagine. How American people feel, if they see foriegn troops working in their street?
Why in Cambodia? Thai jungles and Cambodian jungles are not different, I believed that the US armed forces most of the time have trained along with Thai armed forces in the jungle in Thailand since the Vietnam war.

Vietcong/Yuon/Vietnamese folks are the ones may cause the chaos and play bad politics to make Americans think it is Khmer's initial problem.
Vietnamese folks are very smart to create the problem and kill someone in the wrong and confused situation in order to look for the weakness again among Khmer society and then Communist Vietcong/Yuon will create the second Killing Fields to kill all Khmer people and burn down all Khmer Cultures, Histories, and everything. That is how the bad Vietnamese folks and government are.
American Soldiers and Marines, please watch out on the Vietnamese/Vietcong secret agents hiding among Khmer/Cambodian Arm Forces and Military. If any Khmer solider/army mentions bad or creates bad politics to kill real Khmer military or marine, that is secret Vietcong/Yuon secret agent is the Vietcong spy. So, get rid of that Vietcong secret agent hiding among Khmer Military and Arm Forces. That Vietcong/Yuon secret agent can speak and write Khmer language (including English).
Just be aware of Vietcong/Yuon secret agents hiding among Current Cambodian Arm Forces and Military.

Why not in Cambodia. Am not agree with the government, but for the interest of my country, I strongly support the cooperation these training between the US Army and the RCAF.
Our RCAF will able to upgrade their value & level of the responsibility of the soldier throughout the country Cambodia and their people.
What is the level of the responsibility? Just remember...B52 bombers that killed many Cambodians. What responsibility is that? Only idiot would think so.
The only thing the American troops in Cambodia is to show their dominating power in the region. They don’t give a damn about Cambodia and the people. Their politicians often tell them that they need to protect American freedom and their liberty. My question to you all is: What did Cambodian people do that justified their try to take away American liberty? What in the hell did Cambodian people do that preventing Americans from being free?
Cambodia does not have any air force that capable to reach American soul. Americans were the ones that bombed them and killed them with irresponsibility. Now they’re back. Watch out folk. They policy has not change a bit, since Vietnam War. Cambodia has not had a major conflict for at least twenty years. Why do Cambodians need Americans here in Cambodia to tell them what to do or protect them from hurting themselves? It does not make any sense to me at all. Those of you believe that American troops in Cambodia are good things, please think again. Don’t be an ignorant. Cambodians need is friends, not a master.
