Foreign ministry announces Vietnamese party leader's programme for three-day visit to Phnom Penh, Siem Reap

PHNOM PENH, Dec 3 (Cambodia Herald) - Vietnamese Communist Party Secretary-General Nguyen Phu Trong (pictured) will meet with senior members of the royal family as well as top political and religious leaders during his three-day state visit to Cambodia next week, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said Saturday.
The ministry said that Trong would meet King Norodom Sihamoni, the King Father and the Queen Mother, Cambodian People's Party (CPP) President and Senate President Chea Sim, Honorary CPP President and National Assembly President Heng Samrin and CPP Vice President and Prime Minister Hun Sen Supreme. He will also meet with Patriarch General Tep Vong and Great Supreme Patriarch of Dhammayuttikaya Bour Kri.
During the visit, from Tuesday to Thursday, Trong will also lay wreaths at the Independence Monument and the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Memorial Monument and visit a number of economic and cultural centers in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap as well as the Vietnamese community.
