Policymakers from Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam met Wednesday to discuss measures to boost trade, investment and tourism cooperation in their shared border area.
The opening ceremony of the 6th Conference of the Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam Development Triangle Zone for Promotion of Trade, Investment and Tourism was held in the Attapeu capital of Samakkhixay in Laos.
About 250 delegates and businesspeople from 13 provinces in the Development Triangle Zone attended the one day conference to discuss economic development cooperation in the border area of the three countries.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Somchit Inthamith said that despite remarkable achievements in the development of the Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam Triangle Zone over the past few years, the three nations need to foster closer cooperation to strengthen development.
