The Tropic Beer restaurant features wall frescos by the owner Sin Soben.
It's a great name for a band, but in fact it's the name of a restaurant: Tropic Beer, 300 meters from Angkor Market on Sivutha Boulevard.

It's owned by Sin Soben, a young tour guide who left Phnom Penh ten years ago to build a tourism career in Siem Reap, and opened his restaurant in July.

Inside the restaurant there's an ornamental pond and lots of creative décor, including a curtain made from old CDs. Paintings on the walls illustrate the life of Khmer people in different historical periods, including the French Protection, and Angkor empire.

There are also illustrations of the floating houses in Kampong Plouk Village in Siem Reap province.
