PHNOM PENH, (Cambodia Herald)- Cambodian border police arrested 11 Lao people for illegally entering Cambodia to cut down trees, according to a local media.
Cambodia Express News reported last night that they were arrested on 21 December, 2011 at Seam Pang district, Steung Treng province while they were entering Khmer territory 2km to cut down the trees.
Si Soun, Seam Pang district governor, said 11 Laotians out of 13 were arrested with 4 machines, a tree trimmer.
Recently, 28 Cambodian people were arrested by Laos and have not been released.
Cambodia and Laos are negotiating to exchange those people.
