DETERMINED dad Mark Hagger will cycle 250 miles from Vietnam to Cambodia in gruelling conditions to raise money for a meningitis charity.
Mark will face 80 per cent humidity and 30C heat as he bikes through forests, valleys and rivers, to complete the six-day journey in January from Ho Chi Minh city, past the Killing Fields of Cambodia, Oudong Mountain and finishing at the ancient temples of Angkor Wat.
The 48-year-old, from Royston, is now in rigorous training to help his body cope with the extreme conditions and is urging people to help him raise £1,000 for Meningitis UK, which funds research into the life-threatening illness that causes inflammation in the brain and spinal cord.
