FOUR Sanitarium Berkeley Vale ambassadors are in Cambodia, distributing a stack of Berkeley Vale Soccer Club gear donations to children.
Kerryn Walsh, Shauvaune Caffery, Simone Gardoni and Julie Praestiin are travelling with the company’s chief executive Kevin Jackson.
The trip is part of an international Sanitarium employee reward program.
The ambassadors are distributing soccer shirts - there are enough for about 20 teams, in all sizes - plus boots and balls.
Mr Jackson said he was thrilled to be supporting the project, which aimed to help provide a brighter future for children.
“The donation of sporting goods by Berkeley Vale Soccer Club and its members will mean 300 kids no longer have to share just eight pairs of boots when they play soccer,” he said.
The ambassadors will also work with the International Children’s Care (ICC) organisation, helping to paint and prepare a new school in the ICC’s Hope Children’s Village for its opening.
The school was built with the help of a $30,000 donation from the Sanitarium Ambassador Awards Program and a $5000 contribution by Sanitarium’s marketing department.
While they are in Cambodia the ambassadors will also help with education and hygiene programs and conduct a sports and obstacle course for 300 children.
