JOB VACANCY
The Cambodian Center for Human Rights (CCHR), a non-governmental, non-political and independent human rights organization, is currently recruiting a qualified Cambodian national to fill the position of Documentation Officer within the Project of “Information Sharing for Evidence-Based Research, Dialogue and Advocacy to Improve Respect for Human Rights in Cambodian” (Sithi project) to be based in Phnom Penh and travel to the provinces as required.
Position: Documentation Officer
Salary: from US$ 500 to US$ 700 per month depending on experiences and qualification
Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Law or Political Sciences or related fields.
Duties and Responsibilities
Monitor and document and follow up human rights violations, especially those relating to civil and political rights in Cambodia.
Produce violation case analysis and reports to be used for the purposes of intervention, dialogue, campaigning and advocacy.
Ensure the violation data is properly uploaded onto the Human Rights Portal, Sithi.org.
Coordinate the documentation and monitoring aspects of the Project, including assisting in the development of a training curriculum and materials, and training organization.
Monitor the CCHR hotline, taking calls and providing legal advice to callers or referring calls to other stakeholders, as appropriate.
Provide translation both English and Khmer and other necessary supporting roles to the team.
Work closely with the project team and report to project coordinator and management committee.
