PHNOM PENH (AFP) — Cambodia's war crimes court said Tuesday that it would hear evidence next month in the long-awaited trial of four former Khmer Rouge leaders accused of genocide and crimes against humanity.
The UN-backed tribunal will start hearing opening statements from all parties on November 21, followed by evidence presentation on November 28.
"This is obviously a moment that the Cambodian people have been waiting for," said tribunal spokesman Lars Olsen.
