I wonder how the Cambodian Government distributed the donations to the flood victims in Cambodia, i.e. China , Australia, USA, France, ASEAN, Thailand, Vietnam, etc….donated in a total of about $10 million. Did any of these donations reach the victims? Who in charge of the donations? Does anyone know? Daryl of USA.

The majority of the money will be lost through corruption for sure. Nhim Vanda, the chief of Natural Disaster Management, is supposed to be in charge, but I think the majority of money would be distributed by Hun Sen, his CPP ministers or Hun Sen's wife through the Cambodian Red Cross as an election campaign because this election commune election time. $10 million , but we don't see much aid reaching the flood victims yet. So ridiculous!

Thanks for the insightful info. If those money will be going to election campaign next year, I say cast your vote wisely. Think of the nation as a whole, your family and child future. If you're not happy with the current government then it's your chance to make a different next year. I encourage all Cambodian register and vote for the party that will represent their best interest, the interest of the nation and the future of child and family. Your time to voice your opinion and be heard. God and buddah bless Cambodia. Daryl of USA

Voting will always be unfair and biase. Under the current government, all aids are distributed throughout CPP members, all election campaigns by the CPP party comes form the nations budget, and its no surprise that media outlet in Cambodia belongs to the ruling government. The ruling government stand by their ground that they will not allow opposition parties to have media outlet as it causes instability and war. They have also made repeated statements that they will not allow trials 003 and 004 to continue. Daryl, if the US and UN really cares about the Cambodian situation, first, they need to support the opposition party and pressure the ruling government to equal and fair campaigns. Voices and opinions are easier said then done, but falls on deaf ears under the ruling government. International communities can help establish by stop supporting Hun Sen dictatorship ruling. It sickens me everytime i see Hor nam Hong as a foreign embassor shaking hands and nodding with foreign officials, goes home and sleep on his past as a Camp Chief Officer during the Pol Pot Regime.
