Tuk Tuk Driver's delusional analysis

Tuk Tuk Driver said...

Re: WikiLeaks: The U.S and Vietnam concerned Cambodia might become a second Burma

It sounds like Cambodia is no longer influenced by Vietnam or is a puppet of Vietnam as claimed by Sam Rainsy. With this WikiLeaks, there are many questions related to Sam Rainsy's conviction to ensure that he cannot participate in the election. The biggest question is, did Vietnam and the USA want to replace PM Hun Sen with Sam Rainsy? It seems a logical choice because he is deemed more friendly and open to the US than to China.

I remembered Sam Rainsy made many trips to N. Vietnam prior to his ouster by Cambodian court (Note: Rainsy made one trip to Vietnam about 10 years ago and it was not a secret, everybody knows about the trip and he had released a statement about his trip). There was not much detail about his trip to why he was there; it was almost like a secret trip for secret dealings. I don't know how Sam Rainsy followers take this WikiLeaks but it raises many questions about Sam Rainsy ability to criticize the government and remain care free to move around wherever he wanted to go in Cambodia without fear for his safety.

Did somebody guarantee his safety? Why PM Hun Sen fears Sam Rainsy? Could Sam Rainsy be Vietnam's agent to replace PM Hun Sen? Why Vietnam and the US are nervous about Cambodia turning to China and concerns about human rights? Is it human rights that cause the grave concerns or is it something else?

The history repeats itself again, Cambodia leaders have to walk a tightrope. Cambodia shouldn't abandon its relationship with China or the US and Cambodia cannot allow these countries to drag them into civil war because of the Spratleys Islands' dispute. For the Lotus Revolution, I can see that they pick up steam for the wrong reason which will damage its country stability if it moves forward because the super power is looking for their own interests, not yours. They couldn't careless if you have human rights or democracy.

For those that love Cambodia sincerely and wanted change through violence; I say "stop", don't fall into the trap that was laid out by the superpowers and your neighboring countries for you to kill Khmers. Disorders in the society is good opportunity for others to take advantage of you by taking your side and supply you with weapons, monies etc to achieve what they wanted by disrupting China's influence and recreate the new master that will influence Cambodia. Cambodia should remain mutual with these countries and don't try the King Sihanouk's move.

How could a temple boy (Hun Sen) who study at a Buddhist pagoda caused so much nervous to the superpowers? Cambodia is a strategic bloc that controls Southeast Asia and stop the influence of China. Vietnam was the former enemy of the United States, but now they are close friends. They are concerned about human right violations in Cambodia, but not in Vietnam where people cannot vote or move around freely. I wonder sometimes if the USA really care about human rights. If it is not human rights, then what is it? could it be oil and gas in those Spratleys Islands?

very well tuk tuk driver! What you've been saying is somehow understandable... This is not delusional. To me, influence from any superpower should be kept in balance. This should maintain the political stability. Any attempt to dangerously make an unnecessary change as what is being claimed continuously in this site should be ignored.

Why are you replaced Khmer Rormork with TUK TUK?

Are you Thai?

Anonymous said...

Rormork comes from the french word "remorque" which means trailor in english. In any case both words are foreign in origin.

Don't be fooled by Vietnamese translation. You should look at Hanoi's mechanism in Cambodia.

This is a good time for Hanoi to suppress Khmer Krom,to colonise Cambodia and to encroach on the Cambodian-Vietnamese border, without anyone in Cambodia to protest.

Cambodia is half way to become Vietnamese state. If you all have soft ears and colour blind eyes you will loose our country to Hanoi forever.

In reality Hanoi is worrying about Cambodia to become full democratic country, this would lead to a new political landscape that would change Vietnam and free Kampuchea Krom from Hanoi. That is Hanoi's most fearful enemy.

I am sure that Tuk Tuk Driver loves Khmer as much as others such as True Khmer. Don't attack him because he has different philosophy. Khmerization should be ashame of yourself to attack Tuk Tuk Driver by putting the tittle such delusion etc. I now see it clearly that you are just extension of KI media pretending to be nuetral. There are different ways to handle Cambodia situations and people can have different oppinion if you are promoting democracy. Cambodia cannot reach out to punch somebody without measuring the strength and it weakness. Most importantly, Cambodia just rose from the ashes of KR. Cambodia needs to make a living, stability, economic development, educations etc. I am free to say that we cannot save Khmer Surin or Khmer Krom at this point. We should focus on what we have now. The leaders in the past tried to fight war against agression from many directions which led to the killing fields. I love Khmer Krom and Khmer Surin; it is sadden but we cannot help them unless we are strong ourself first. Cambodia need to walk together in one direction that is economic development and education development.

I agree with you, Warrior Blood, but those Sam Rainsy's people may call us trailors, just because we have different opinions. And that's not all, they even call them a true domocratic reformers. How can they call themselves the supportors for democracy, when they have Pol Pot's mentality, which do not respect other people opinions? When the last time we got a person who educated in French to rule Cambodia, he created a Killing Field. Do we really trust another French educater who has the same mentality as Khmer Rouge?

The word "He/She is educated ! ", what is the base line for being educated ??

BS, MS, PHD ?

Some time the word being educated, is over used !!!

If you are a smart person, you can be also uneducated ?? There are some smart people who didn't have an opportunity to go to school.

Education doesn't define your personality.

I would consider that all former Cambodian leaders were educated !!

But how they used their education, is another matter !!!!

The KR used education/knowledge to munipulate uneducated Khmere. They don't like public debate on any thing.

There is no education requirement for the US president !!!! Does any one know that ????

Responding to above comment, Are you consider your as an average educator?
By the way this is how you spell "Sometimes" not "Some time"

I am big fan of education but I am not a big fan of people look down at others because he/she didn't finish college. It is a fact, there is no education requirement for US president but I doubt that a person will win presidential election if he/she run for office now with high school diploma. I want Cambodian children to value education and strive for better education. Once a person has good education and learn what is right and wrong, then the person will have more respect for other that didn't have the chance to finish school. There are many leaders that doesn't have all the PhD behind their name but they are as smart as the one with PhD behind their names. I guess it is depend on the person. PM Hun Sen is the exceptional person. The man is very smart but opposition alway call hime dump, low education, pupet, traitor etc. If you look at his kids, they are very educated and they are not like other politician children that cause problem in society. He raised them well and he value education because he didn't have the opportunity when he was young. He was busy fighting in the jungle because he believed it was for good causes and many of his friends lost their lives. He rose to power through the use of violence and he kept his power and eliminated his enemy through whatever means necessary. This is what he was taught when he was young. As he get older, he changes the way he govern and listen more to his advisors and seek more democratic processes. I don't have any doubt that he will eliminate anybody in his way. Opposition leaders need to be smart about it and how to handle PM Hun Sen if they won election. The issue we have is that they never reach that level yet. If the opposition won the election then you can base your winning and have the world to help you. During Rannaridh time, I am not sure if I want rannaridh to be in power since he was so corrupted. yes, hun sen did force his way into power sharing and rannaridh cave into it. I kinda glad the Hun Sen did that, otherwise you will have to be royally connected in order to win any election.
