Police say a woman confessed to killing her two children after they were found fatally stabbed inside a Philadelphia apartment.
Authorities say the 27-year-old woman was arrested and taken for a mental health evaluation after the 8-year-old boy and 12-year-old girl were found dead Wednesday evening. They had both been stabbed multiple times.
Chief Inspector Scott Small says the woman was acting erratically and may have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol. A knife that may have been used in the killings has been recovered.

Police did not release the names of the woman or her children. Small says the children's grandmother may have discovered the bodies.
