The Criminal Court on Wednesday granted permission to three United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship leaders, who are free on bail, to travel to Cambodia from Sept 15-19.
They are Veerakan Musikhapong, former UDD chairman, Natthawut Saikua, a Pheu Thai party list MP, and Yossawaris Chuklom, or Jeng Dokchik, assistant secretary to a deputy interior minister.
The three, charged with terrorism in connection with last year's violent red-shirt protests, have been released on bail. One of the bail conditions is that they must not travel abroad.
They applied to the Criminal Court today for permission to travel to Cambodia during Sept 15-19 to work with Cambodian authorities to prepare for a football match between Thai and Cambodian parliamentarians in Phnom Penh scheduled for Sept 24.
They each placed 600,000 baht as surety.
The three were granted permission as requested and are required to report to the court on Sept 26 after their return.
UDD lawyer Winyat Chartmontree said another red leader and Pheu Thai list MP Weng Tojirakarn would file a similar application tomorrow because he had a problem with some documents today.
