Vietnam did not liberate the Cambodian people, just wanted to remove Pol Pot from power only

If the Vietnamese hadn’t come, we’d all be dead.” There is a similar expression that I have heard from African-Americans: “If the North (the Union) didn’t win the war, we would still be slaves.” These two expressions have a lot of truth, but have plenty of room for me to speculate and looking closely at the source of the cause of the conflict.

First of all, America did not fight in order to free the slaves, but when the American civil war was over, the slaves were freed. This is the same concept when we talk about Vietnam's invasion of Cambodia. The Vietnamese did not care what was happening in Cambodia or to the Cambodian people. The Stalinist Vietnamese regime was only interested and only wanted to remove the Maoist Khmer Rouge regime from power in Cambodia. The Vietnamese has no interest to free the Cambodian people from extirpation, but when the Maoist Khmer Rouge was removed, the people of Cambodia were free.

I’m not going to lecture any one in detail about American Civil War because I am trying to write a comment, not a book. I only want to make my point, not writing a long article.

People didnt live through it will not understand. I lived through it when I was 9 years old. I am gratful to be alive. This is 2011 and if you want to continue to point finger and not doing any work, you will be poored. If you drunk everybody and not doing work, then you have yourself to blame. How do you think those Cambodian became millionairs? They work hard every day and know how to work the systems. How do you think Onknha Kith Meng become millionares? He left as refugee and came back to do business and now he is everythings. They dont sit around and complaint this and that. Khmer if you love your country, if you want Khmer future to be better; it started from individual self motivation/revolution to be financially sucessful. Money talk, bullshit walk. If you go to war, you need money to buy amunition ok. Dont be fool use you bare hand to fight. Just look at Thailand-Cambodia conflict. We were outnumbered by guns, army, economy etc. Our people seek work in Thailand and they were abused etc. Now everybody blame PM Hun Sen again for all of that. Just keep on playing blame game. Dont work, then god will bring you gold.

Simply put, THE MORE KHMER DIE, THE BETTER IT IS FOR HANOI, VIETNAM. I don't think Hanoi give a shit about the death of 2 millions Khmer. They even joke about it. According to them, they shot themselves in the foot by miscalculating the time of invasion. It was a little too soon. If waited a few for years longer, they wouldn't have any KR resistence left to deal with. Hanoi government is a master strategist. I guess those times spent on playing chess and drinking tea paid off big time. They had it all planned out. Their motive is to take Indochina all to themselves. You got to give them plenty of credit for their evil tactics. So don't fool yourself and wasting your precious time debating on whether Vietnam saved or robbed Cambodia. It was killing 2 birds with on stone for Hanoi. I doubt Khmer population would be wiped out as claimed by other, if it hadn't been the so-called "Savior" Vietnamese army. Either way, Hanoi wins, while Khmer always get screw as usual.

"The Vietnamese did not care what was happening in Cambodia or to the Cambodian people. The Stalinist Vietnamese regime was only interested and only wanted to remove the Maoist Khmer Rouge regime from power in Cambodia. The Vietnamese has no interest to free the Cambodian people from extirpation". The statement is very true. Vietnam was the creator of the Khmer Rouge, helped KR came to power and helped the KR to kill more than 2 million Khmers, so how can it pretended to liberate Khmers from Pol Pot? Only brainwashed Vietnam-lovers will believe this. Vietnam invaded Cambodia to topple Pol Pot because his KR regime refused to follow Vietnam's orders anymore, this was the only reason Vietnam invaded Cambodia.

During the Vietnam War, Americans did not know that they were fighting with two different kinds of communist. Americans thought that communist is communist and they did not make any distinctive between the two. It is the fact that these two communists were jointing hands to fight the Americans in South East Asia. When the Americans retreated from South East Asia, these two communists were becoming at odd to one another. One communist is a Stalinist Vietnamese Regime which got their support from USSR, and the other communist is the Maoist Khmer Rouge Regime which stayed under the umbrella of People Republic of China. These two communists were looking for way to dominate the region. So, when the Vietnamese troop invaded Cambodia, they have only one goal is capture the country and put Cambodia under their confederation.
They did not care what was happen inside Cambodia. They actually used the Khmer Rouge killing machine as a designing purpose to aim to invade Cambodia. Whatever reason, the real fact is that Cambodian people were happy to see the Vietnamese troops marching into Cambodia. Who wouldn’t? Most the Cambodian people know that their days are numbers.

I have told myself not to write long comment, but I just need to explain and remind some of us, the source of the conflict. Again, I’m not trying to write an article, even though it seems to be.
