The horrors of the genocide committed by Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia still shock 30 years on.

New documentary Brother Number One tells this story through just one of more than two million deaths to have been caused by the regime.

In 1978 young New Zealand yachtie Kerry Hamill was sailing a yacht named Foxy Lady when he found himself in Cambodian waters.

He was tortured then murdered by the Khmer Rouge.

The documentary follows Kerry's younger brother Rob Hamill as he travels to Cambodia to retrace his brother's steps, eventually coming face to face with the man responsible for Kerry's death.

Rob Hamill talks to Lindy Burns.
