An adviser to the Cambodian government says there will be no further negotiations with Thailand over withdrawing troops from around the disputed Preah Vihear Temple.
On Monday, the International Court of Justice in the Hague ordered troops from both sides to pull back from the border area.
The area has been the site of several fatal clashes since late 2008.
But Thailand's outgoing Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva says bilateral negotiations will need to take place before Thai troops an be moved.
However Helen Jarvis, an adviser to the Cambodian Government, has told Radio Australia's Connect Asia negotiations are unnecessary.
"From the Cambodian side there's no need for any more negotiations," she said.
"The decision is clear, the demilitarised zone is very clearly marked on the map and as soon as the Indonesian observors arrive there's no reason why the withdrawal can't immediately take place"

Glad to know that Cambodia has good advisors. I have mentioned in the past that Thailand is playing tricks, Abhisit trying to push PM Hun Sen's hot button. If Thailand can play the game so can Cambodia. Cambodia should keep its cool and strategically working with the think tank group. Thus far, Thailand has let out the following tricks: changing army into police uniform, wait for the next government to take over, ask Cambodia to do bilateral talks, PAD statement against ICJ ruling, conducting poll in Thailand's view etc. These are just some of the tricks put out in 3 days after ICJ ruling. As you can see Thailand has many tricks; it seems like it has stolen a trick book for a magician. Thailand main objective is to keep Cambodia on its heel while they putting together teams and form new government. Cambodia should utilize every opportunity to ensure that the ICJ aware of Thailand actions.
