Hun Sen: Cambodia will not forgive Thailand anymore

By Khmerization
Source: FPMOnline

Prime Minister Hun Sen (pictured) has on Tuesday 21st June blasted Thai troops as "terrorists" for cowardly using snipers to shoot and kill Cambodian soldiers during the border clashes in April in Ta Krabey and Ta Moan Thom temples.

Speaking during the Veteran Day at the Ministry of Labour and Veteran Affairs, Mr. Hun Sen accused Thai troops of cowardly sneaking stealthily to the Cambodian frontline and shot to kill many Cambodian soldiers, instead of a fair fire fight. "Next time, if they do like that (use snipers), please launch a big attack, not just sneaking in to shoot at each other", he said.

Mr. Hun Sen said Cambodian troops had shown the utmost restraint during the 7-day clashes at Ta Krabey and Ta Moan Thom temples, which erupted on 22nd April, by not retaliating straightaway when attacked by Thai troops. "At that time, we allowed them to attack us for four days and we fought back on 26th April, but only 17 minutes into the fight, they asked for a negotiation. We tried to avoid war, but they were very insolent..", he said.

Thai troops invaded the Preah Vihear surrounding area on 15th July 2008 and occupied Ta Krabey and Ta Moan Thom temples a month later. Since then, there were many deadly clashes, notably the 4-day clashes at Preah Vihear areas from 4-7 February 2011 and the 7-day clashes at Ta Krabey and Ta Moan Thom temples from 22nd to 28th April 2011.

Dear PM Hun Sen, if Thai's attack us again, please allow Khmer soldiers to fight the Thai guarilla warfare. We dont need to waste big weapons. Do it in the heart; you can rock their heart you know what I mean. Hit them where it hurt most economically. There are many types of war you can fight. If they really wanted war, then let give them one that they wish that they never been born in this era. I sorry, I am not big fan of war because I was raised in a war zone, but if our military is not equiped or modernize etc as claimed by others and the Thai seem to bought into the idea that they are big and they are better. We dont have to rely on shooting face to face. War is war, it doesnt have to be fair fight ok. F... the fair fight; they never respected us anyway.

Sniping is all fair game but the point is that both side military have agreed not to do anything that causes fighting and to let the politicians do the job of solving the conflict. So, it's blood boiling to the Thai side swallowing their word and resorting to cheap shots like they've been doing.

According to the Art of War, wining is the most important thing so everything is all fair. I think the statement from PM Hun Sen has an indirect meaning. By stating that Thai side snuck in and sniped our guys, basically you're saying Thai started this thing first, without verbally saying it. Get the idea of it? Embedding meaning in your stories can get what you're trying to say much more effective than straight talk. That's my opinion, anyways.

since when it become fair? The clash was not a war. it was a small fire fight. If you argue with someone and their friend sneak from behind and stab you in the head, do yo think that is fair?

understand the difference between war and clash before making such a stupid comment.

To my opinion the most unfair comment from disgruntle so-called DR Gaffar Peang-Meth on February 23, 2011 “But the World Court never ruled on the 4.6 square kilometres (1.8 square miles) of land around the temple, claimed by both Thailand and Cambodia.and so on http://ki-media.blogspot.com/2011/02/more-conflict-at-temple-possible.html” he play to the hand of Thai directly or in directly he supported the Thai and no place in any societies that country in the verge of war and it own citizen turn up and support the enemy.
He will never be the Cambodian PM if willing to give up the sovereignty for his own personal agenda, and his relentless attacking and play to hand of the enemy games.

You want fair? Good luck. With you have no power leverage in the real world, fair is a neverland that you'll never get to.

Why is the Preah Vihear issue dragging out to these days? That's because being fair is a hard thing to find when your word has no power to the people that matter. Cambodia has been victimized by Thai internal problem, yet the world stood by. Thailand has been very arrogant because they think they have more power leverage than Cambodia in getting their way with Preah Vihear. The day Unesco and UN make a hardline position to kick the Thai out of Preah Vihear parameter, that's the day we can see something fair.

Thailand greatest strength are cheat, lie, rob, and steal, the basic characteristics of a thief. Throughout Siem history, their kings lied to their people about Siem history. Siem cheated and robbed their neighbors to get more land. They proclaimed their dishonesty as being clever. Thailand doesnt' care about fair or honesty because these words don't exist in their dictionary. According to them, as long as you can win, who cares if you have to cheat.

Did the insurgent in the South bombing Thailand is fair fight? It shock them every night and Thailand is living in fear. We alway respect this and that, then Thai's shot our boys. Did Vietnam fight fair with American? Who won? Did anybody court marshall Vietnam? Thai invaded Khmer many times back in the history and cut khmer king head; did any body sue them or bring them to court? F... the fair fight. Let just win no matter whatever it takes. I am feed up seeing our boys get kill becasue we respect the war rules.

I think Hun Sen did not tell the truth when he said that Cambodian soldiers let Thai troops attack them for 4 days without fighting back. Cambodian troops fought back bravely for the first few days, but I heard they ran out of ammunitions, especially the rockets and artillery shells. The Cambodian soldiers retaliated and fought back again when they received the new supplies of BM-21 rockets. And this has probably forced Thailand to ask for negotiation.

I say, forget the BM-21 rocket, let take the fight inside their town in the heart of thailand. it will be bloody but heck that is war. you sneak attack like the insurgent.

From what I remember from those clashes, Thai military called out ceasefire, then they restocked their ammos then started shooting again. And they always blamed Cambodia for shooting first. This goes on for several times. This son-of-bitch is a sleezy coward. You would think as bad-ass as they proclaimed themselves to be, they wouldn't need to do all of that to get ahead. This is like a Muay Thai boxer getting his ass kick and then cried ," time out" just to get himself fix up then resume fight. This remind me of some clips in one of the Thai action movie where a bad guy goes through all the cheating as long as he can win. That's Thailand for ya!!!!

Sniper/sharp shooting are part of warfare and military maneuver for a long time since Mongol's Khan invaded Eastern part of Europe and Asia. Soviet Red Army used it very extensivlely during Stalingrade hold out against German troops. US army used to some extend against North Vietnamese troops and Viet Cong.
Cambodian troops should adapt to learn this skill.
It is not not a terrorist method...

I bet Hun SEn will do bullshit if Thai attack again because Hun Sen say to much in the past but when Thai bomb Cambodian army heorder the cambodian army not to shoot back. It is mean he care about his regime more than he care about Cambodian army at frontline and Cambodia.

Hun SEn scare that if he does too much THai will support coup up rising against his CPP regime like Egypt, Tunasia, Gaddaffie...regime!

Hun SEn is only care about himself not Cambodian army at frontline or khmer nation.

Anonymous said...

Why doesn't Hun SEn talk about the treaties from 1979-1985 that result over 30 000 km2 of Cambodia to Vietnam ? Why does Hun Sen only using 4.6 km2 as an excuse in order to redirect attention from Vietnam invasion and it is not just small invasion but over 30 000 km2 of cambodia.

In HUn SEn political career 4.6km2 is much begger than over 30 000km2. He gave over 30 000km2 of Cambodia to Vietnam with his two hands.

AH HUN XEN, SHOOT BACK AT THEM AND STOP RUNNING TO THE INTERNATIONAL LIKE A COWARD. BE A BRAVE MAN LIKE THE SOLDIERS IN THE FRONTLINE

Thailand is so lucky..If they did that kind of dirty shit to other country...forget It? Used Sniper to shoot and killed our soldier at night time...very very cheap shot!!!! Gen. Prayuth Chan O'Cha is cheapest bastard...and coward acts!!

Anonymous said...

Using sniper to sneak in and shoot someone like that?..It's TERRORISTS ACTS! Thailand is cheapest, coward and dirty acts against poor cambodian...It also could turn into a full scale of war!! Next time blast Thailand up with long range missile....

Anonymous said...

Thailand can not fight straight forward, they only knew how to cheat and use dirty trick-acts cowardly...I told you not to play soft with Thailand Mr Hun Sen kbal dek?

Anonymous said...

Why don't khmer do the samething back to SIAM? We has snipers-sharp shooter too...wright? Take down Gen. Pryuth Chan O'Cha first! Cuz son of a bitch ordered to shoot...

Anonymous said...

Cambodian military should pull out some Khmer Rouge style of warfare against these Siem bastards. They want to fight dirty and nasty, Cambodian troops should accomadate that. Let me guess, Siem troops will be crying out foul if Cambodian troops begin to fight like them. Siem troops need to get a taste of Khmer Rouge style, that's what missing. Whatever it takes to win, who cares about rules, right? Siem use poison gas, cluster ammunition, 155mm artillery, and sneak attack using snipers. I don't see why Cambodian military should resort to rules, when Siem don't respect rule.

Anonymous said...

That's why Mr. Chhom Socheat was crying during the media'questioning? I, see.. We lost three Lt.commanders at Ta Moan, Ta Krabei Temple to Thai sniper shooter...I think we should blast Thailand with heavy weapons all we could get from....Making sure Gen. Prayuth died!!

Anonymous said...

Very Cheap moved and cowardly act by Thai commander that ordered to shoot our soldier from behind...Whats a cheap bastard!

Anonymous said...

2:38 AM, Agree. In the past Hun Sen boasted too much about a lot of things, like going ICJ, Asean, UN and so on but he waited until 3 years later and the problem is still not solved. About fighting back the Thais, Hun Sen said that the Thais had fired more than 1,000 shells into Cambodian territory and more than 400 into Preah Vihear compound, but we never heard how many shells Cambodian troops had fired back into Thai territory. At Ta Krabey and Ta Moan Thom temples, Hun sen claimed Thai troops had fired more than 50,000 shells into Cambodian territory, but he said Cambodian troops only fired back 4 days later. More than 50,000 Cambodians became homeless due to Thai bombardment, but we did not see many Thais became homeless due to Cambodian bombardment. Is this is a good fight, Mr. Hun Sen, or are you a coward? If we are good we must never forgive the Thais, we must use whatever we have to fight back. Now, I will wait to see if Hun Sen's promise of "never forgive the Thais" will ring true.
