National army chief Prayuth Chan-ocha praised Natural Resources and Environment Minister Suwit Khunkitti's decison to withdraw from the World Heritage Convention and said he has ordered soldiers along the Thai-Cambodian border to be prepared.
Gen Prayuth said on Monday the army is overseeing security, monitoring intelligence activities and observing movements along the border in order to protect the country's sovereignty.
More troops and health personnel had been sent to villages near the border area to inform residents about the situation and avet any panic.
"After withdrawing from the World Heritage Convention, we now have to wait for the decision of the International Court of Justice.
"Thai and Cambodian soldiers have been in contact on a regular basis since the last clashes along the border, but there's not a high degree of trust between them yet," the army chief said.
He said Mr Suwit made a good decision to withdraw Thailand's membership of the World Heritage Convention.
The decision to withdraw from the WHC was made by Mr Suwit, who led the Thai delegation to the World Heritage Committee meeting in Paris on Saturday, June 25.

There we go, more clashes are expected. This is how Thailand react. If it doesn't get its own way, it will make war with Cambodia. Cambodian military need to be prepare to deal with this irrational enemy.
Cambodia must be on high alert and well prepared. Thailand can launch a surprise attack any time. After all, Thailand has nothing to lose because everything Thailand claimed now all belong to Cambodia.
I agree with you guys, all the things that Thailand has claimed was just bullying, they knew that they got nothing to lose, but they trying to do it anyway? There's no 4.6km of lands...that Thailand has claimed? Thailand continue bullying, look down on khmer...They seeing khmer weak, poors!

We dont have a choice except to fight for our survival. Cambodia cannot bow down to Thailand's bully. We will have fight them with whatever we got.
When it comes to justice and fairness, and respect of other people's properties, the Thais are having problem of doing that. Now the rogue state and their people say "We have to use force to take what we want from Khmer".

The Cambodian military must be well prepare. Buy more long range weapons and fighter jets if possible.
