Cambodian frontline troops at Ta Krabey and Ta Moan Thom temples have just received three video cameras to take pictures to prove of violations by Thai troops. In the past there are accusations and counter-accusations as to which side violated or started the firing first.
Mr. Phay Siphan, spokesman for the Council of Ministers, delivered the cameras to Col. Neak Vong, commander of the 42nd Battalion at Ta Krabey and Ta Moan Thom temples at 8pm on Saturday night. The three cameras were donated by the Khmer Printers Association.
The military situations at Ta Krabey and Ta Moan Thom temples on Saturday night seem calm as there are no report of clashes. Cambodian military sources said that Thai commanders have contacted Cambodian commander Col. Neak Vong to make an appointment to meet today, Sunday 1st May, in order to discuss another ceasefire as two previous ceasefires reached on Thursday and Friday had been violated repeatedly, with both sides pointing the fingers at each other.
RFA quoted Cambodian Defence Ministry spokesman Gen. Chhum Socheat as saying that the Thai side violated all of the previous agreements. He said both sides had agreed to re-open all border crossings, but as on Saturday the Thai side still did not open the border crossings yet. As on Saturday, border crossing at O'Smach in Samrong town and Choam Sra-Ngam at Anlong Veng district were still unilaterally closed by the Thai side in breach of the agreements.
Gen. Chhum Socheat also said that as on Saturday, the Thai side is still shelling the Cambodian side despite having agreed to the two previous ceasefire agreements. "Last night (Friday night) at 8-8:30pm they shelled us once. They fired 60mm, 80mm, 120mm and M-79mm mortar rockets at us at Ta Krabey temple and at 5:05 to 6:07am in the morning, they shelled us again. Just in that one hour they fired M-79, 60mm, 80mm and 120mm mortar rockets at us twice at Ta Krabey and Ta Moan Thom temples", he said.

A video camera cost about $200-$300 you make it to the news like something cost about $3000 each.
Poor thing.
It looks and sound funny. The government are so poor that it cannot provide 3 cameras that cost about $300 each to it soldiers that they have to be donated by khmer printers association? This is ridiculous. It is a joke. These Cambodian soldiers should be provided with cameras a long time ago and they should come from the government, not private donors.
What have happened to the millionaires and billionaires tycoons of Cambodia like Sok Keung etc, can't they play some role in this conflict since they made so much money from Cambodia.
