More than 100 Cambodian Diaspora from around the world had staged a successful protest against the Thai aggression in front of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague, Netherlands, despite of a boycott from another group which had withdrawn its participation due to disagreement over a ban on the criticism of the Cambodian government's handling of the border dispute with Thailand.
Sounds of condemnation of the Thai aggression can be heard in the background through a telephone interview with some participants.
Mr. Kiri Sena, one of the protesters, said the more than 100 protesters are demanding the withdrawal of Thai troops from Cambodian territory and immediately cease Thai invasion of Cambodian territory and aggression against Cambodia.
Another protesters, Mr. Vuthy, said the protesters are demanding that Thailand stop its aggression against Cambodia and stop invading Cambodia, as well as respecting the 1962 verdict of the International Court of Justice which awarded ownership of Preah Vihear temple to Cambodia.
Originally, organisers expected that more than 200 people will join the protest, but one group has withdrawn after organisers banned any criticism or attacks on the Cambodian government and the Cambodian king. The group that boycotted the protest do not want to see the protest as a rally to support the present government. On ther other hand, the organisers said that they banned the criticism of the Cambodian government and the king as they want to see all Cambodians around the world to show a national unity in time of crisis and in the face of foreign aggression and invasion.

In the meantime, Mr. Tith Sothea, spokesman for the Press and Quick Reaction Unit, said Cambodians around the world should not interfere with the judicial works of the ICJ and should leave the issue of Cambodian-Thai border dispute to the Cambodian government and the ICJ to resolve peacefully.
