PM: Troops only on defensive [did thai troops gain control of Ta Krabey and Ta Moan temples?]

Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva (pictured) instructed Thai soldiers at the disputed Thai-Cambodian border not to be on the offensive as it could result in more loss and worsen the situation, a military source said on Sunday night.

The source said national army chief Prayuth Chan-ocha rejected 2nd Army Region commander Thawatchai Samutsakhon's offensive plan to gain a strategic advantage over Cambodian troops after Gen Prayuth consulted with Mr Abhisit.

Lt Gen Thawatchai previously asked Gen Prayuth to approve the plan to send five more battalions to the border area to prevent the Cambodian side from taking hold of Ta Kwai [Ta Krabey] temple and Ta Muen temple, the source said.

However, Gen Prayuth had agreed to send one battalion from the Lop Buri-based 31st Infantry Regiment, as he believed that the number of deployed troops of 10,000 would be sufficient and that both sides will stick to negotiations.

I heard. IT just goes back and forth....
Not control that area easily.
But, honestly, our temples like Ta Krobey and Ta Moun was destroyed dramatically.
I have no idea when seeing Thailand destroy our temples like this, but still no one helps us.
