Thai bulldozers working in forbidden zone

Cambodian soldiers based at Preah Vihear temple said Thai troops based at the Red House opposite Preah Vihear temple have again on 8th March sent bulldozers and excavators to the "forbidden zone" near the gate of Preah Vihear temple. A Cambodian soldier who spoke on condition of anonymity said the Thai Army had sent 2 bulldozers and excavators to dig in the area since the morning till afternoon. He said the Thai bulldozers had been bulldozing and digging in the in the area not far from the Sombok Khmum area where they were bulldozing and digging before 4th February which triggered the 4-7 February armed clashes.

Thai fighter jets flew near Preah Vihear temple

Cambodian military sources said that two Thai fighter jets flew over airspace near Preah Vihear temple at 10:35 a.m on Wednesday 9th March. Cambodian troops said the jets did not fly over Cambodian airspace, but they just know that those jets are very new and modern. They said the flight will not cause any problems as long as they did not cross over into Cambodian airspace.

Thai Army conducted a military drill near Preah Vihear temple

The Thai Army has conducted a military drill close to Preah Vihear temple. Gen. Srey Doek, commander of the Preah Vihear Command, said the Thai military drill is nothing, but aimed at creating problems with Cambodian troops. He said if Thailand did not aim to cause troubles with Cambodia, Thai troops would stage its military drill somewhere else, not near a disputed zone which was the scene of many deadly armed clashes.

Please Cambodian Arm Force, purchase at least 10 Mig-23s and form a fighter squadron real quick. Do you remember when our airforce was real formidable back in the 60s with only a few Mig-15s/17s and yak-18s. Even Vietnam respect our air force. 10 Mig-23s will only cost about $30.6 million or get the latest in technology with only $60.6 million. Almost every nation has an air force. We don't have it. We need them now. The best way to deal with the Siem arrogant is to have our own air force. Our soldiers performed bravely. Let's give them the right tools to do the job. God bless Cambodia!!!

Here we go again, back to square one. Another Thailand immature and dangerous political and military behaviors. Appearantly, Thailand is not interest in regional peace and stability. It is behaving like wild North Korea. I'm glad Cambodian military gave Thailand military a good fight on that last 3 days clash. Now Thailand is scream for round 2. She had herself pumps up ready to step in the ring with Cambodia by arming herself with more fancier weapons.

Whatever the case, the world is watching every move Cambodia and Thailand make. Cambodia must not react like Thailand, a wild child who's hell mad and ready to throw punches without thinking twice. Cambodia must be in control of this situation through being cool, calm, and collective. By dealing with the international community such as ASEAN or UN, Cambodia is gainng leverages. Let Thailand do what she wants to make herself feel better. She's going mad. She's losing it. This goes to show who is truly winning the fight. In this case, political victory is far more effective than the military victory. Politic comes before bombs and bullets. Thailand think she can win militarily over Cambodia without dealing with politic. This is a grave mistake.

Thailand is looking for trouble. Thailand is trying to gain ground as much as it can before the Indonesian observers arrived. Because its army is big, it will bully Cambodia all the time. Once a bully is always a bully.

They deployed them already (Saab JAS 39 Gripen).

I suggest Cambodia really need to haul ass.

Su-27, MiG-29, J-10s anything

Modernised your MiG-21.

Get some modernised Mil-24 Hinds , Mil-17 helicopters or other.

What's more cooler, a fancy Sweden SAAB JAS-39 Gripen swooping about in the sky between Thailand and Cambodia border, or a Russian's IGLA( equivelant to US Stinger) or a KUB SAM, zeroing in those iron birds ready to smoke them out the sky? I'm not suggesting Cambodia does or doesn't have such air defense system. The point is, Cambodia may not have aircraft to intercept Thailand's Gripen, but Cambodia might have SAM system hidden in the jungle ready to let off as soon as it start getting ugly in the sky. Migoyan-21 is outdated. There are about a dozen of them sitting on the side in Phnom Penh International Airport at old Royal Khmer Air Force base. Those Mig's are just for display but unserviceable. To match with Thailand's Gripen, Cambodia would have to purchase Migoyan-25 or 29 or the Sokhoi-27 or 29, or better yet, Chinese Chengdu J-10, which is almost equivelant to American F-16. Then again, it would be pricey. The best option for Cambodia now is to rely on AAA(Anti-Aircraft-Artillery), and SAM( Surface-to-Air-Missile). They're alot cheaper and can do serious damages to most aircrafts.

commentor 2:16 now thats exactly what I want to say all along.

After the thai airforce is fucked up, we can always use AAA guns on the infantry it worked pretty well during the Bosnian War.
