Police have raised the alert level at the Cambodian embassy in Bangkok to the same level as Government House, metropolitan police division 4 commander Pol Maj Gen Suthee Neraganthee said on Wednesday.
Pol Maj Gen Suthee said, after inspecting the police deployments around the Cambodian embassy on Pracha Uthit road, that tight security had been introduced to prevent any possible incidents.
Any violence at the embassy as it would have a direct impact on the Thai-Cambodian border situation.
He had ordered police around the Cambodian embassy to be on full alert, particularly those on duty at the front and back gates of the embassy compound.
