If justice has eyes, Thailand’s aggression will be stopped by the United Nations; however if the history repeats itself, Thailand will violate any laws mandated by the United Nations and by the world court. It appears that the claiming for Preah Vihear by Thailand is not about whether Thai’s leaders know and understand that it is wrong, but it is about the struggling to maintain power by certain individuals and or groups in Thailand. In order to keep their power Cambodia seems to be a perfect place to divert millions Thais who have been very unhappy with the Thai government in the past few years if not decades. Why Cambodia?
First, Cambodia has been viewed by many democratic countries that she has been ruled by a cruel dictator (a naughty boy said some Thai leaders) for many years; and it is plagued by corruptions. Who would express sympathy for such a country and its leaders? Some Cambodian politicians may think that their time is coming; all they need is just a spark of fire.
Second, comparing to the almighty Thailand, Cambodia is militarily weak and its ragtag soldiers are tired of fighting and mentally worn out. Some people are betting that in 24 hours Thai soldiers will be sitting in Their M113 tanks at Chamkar Mon eating Vietnamese Pho bowls. A few people may have been licking their chopsticks hoping the Thai would set up a puppet government so that they can become leaders of the next Thai-backed regime in Phnom Penh.
Third, provoking a fight with other neighboring countries such as Burma, Malaysia or Laos (which is heavily influenced by Vietnam) will surely make those Thai leaders lose their shirts and pants and perhaps their country. Hence, Cambodia is a perfect scapegoat.
The so-called “yellow shirt” people may be used as a tool or as an excuse by the current Thai’s administration to invade Cambodia to take over Preah Vihear and its surrounding. Why not? The Thai government may want to kill three birds with one stone—pleasing the yellow shirt (and the King), taking over Preah Vihear and then staying in power (at least for a little while longer.)
I hope that in this world, justice really has eyes and still exists. While Hun Sen and his government may not be the best for Cambodia, he is the only Cambodia’s leader recognized by the world now. His reasons to seek help from the United Nations should be considered by all justice loving people. Preah Vihear and Khmer people have nothing to do with the war mongers, the color coded red-shirt or the yellow-shirt one. They are innocent and just need long lasting peace and justice for now and forever.
The United Nations are heavily influenced by the five major countries— The United States of America; the United Kingdom ; the French Republic ; the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China. The people around the globe are watching closely to see if the leaders of these countries can stand face to face with the truth and justice and whether they can tell Thailand that enough is enough and to leave Cambodia to the Khmer people to handle.

Thank for your excellent view on this issue.
I don't know the why the UN turns his back on this issue and allow weak ASEAN to solve this problem. Didn't the UN blame Thailand anything about her aggression? I doubt the role of the UN in solving this conflict. Does the UN not know that ASEAN does no have military? ASEAN is always influenced by the old members like Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and so on?
For example, Singapore will absolutely support Thailand until the end of the world.
If Thailand wants to invade Cambodia anytime, how ASEAN helps?
The UN is really stupid I have ever seen. Why?
1. He does no know the purpose of Cambodia. What we want is to make sure that there is no arm clash near the border.
2. We don't want any country threaten Cambodia by force.
3. We just want justice and peace in the region.
4. Cambodia wants Thailand to respect the law. If she doesn't satisfy with the court. She should ask the court for herself.
So far, I don't know why we, Cambodia, must be a victim of this issue or the stupid internal crisis in Thailand.
We, Cambodians, just want peace and are tired to play game with those stupid Thais. It really slow our development. We DON'T CARE ABOUT THAILAND'S INTERNAL CONFLICT.
Negotiation can be fairly and peacefully possible if there is threat and must be any arbitrator participate.
Cambodia just ask one or two UN peacekeepers (one or two people) to observe and give justice to us when there is any clash in the border. They can witness "who attack whom?" and "who is the real invader?"
Each year, Cambodia sends so many peacekeepers to the UN, but what the UN give Cambodia back just a dirt (at least our delegation waste our dirt on the floor of the UN).
Please take Cambodia out of unlawful Thaialnd's internal issue and the ambition of a small nationalistic group.
We don't want to mess with Thailand. Go Away Thailand.
Correction:
"Negotiation can be fairly and peacefully possible if there is no threat and must be any arbitrator participate."
Khmer, we do not have one more life to loose in the deadly border game being played by the Thai. To solve the Cambodia-Thailand border problem at Prasat Preah Vihear; simply install video cameras to provide live feeds to the UN and the world to show the thais have been the perpetrators and the aggression...problem solved.
Thais want bilateral talks to resolve this issue, (which clearly an issue of theirs making), because they think they can take advantage of cambodia naive leaderships. Thai parliament held up the vote on the border commission for years, yet they insist on bilateral talks to solve this issue. Thai leaders are choosing provocations and confrontations with Khmers because they know can because of their strong larger economics, politics and military. However, you thais don't forget about Khmers heart, because as long as Angkor is still standing, Khmers will always stand strong together as one. We know how siems-thais do business, i.e., they have always bowed and chosen appeasment to foreign powers like the French, Brittish, Japanese, US et cetera. They shoot to kill on poor Khmer going into the woods to scavenging for foods, shoot to kill on Khmer refugees who crossed the thai camps barb wires to scavending for additional foods to supplement the meager rations provided in the camps, beat down on those who could not defend themselves; and we Khmers with good hearts as we have shown through out our history, should avoid stooping to their belligerent levels, and lets just show the true belligerant thais to the world.
NATO is much better organization and much more equipped than ASEAN! Ans way better!! ASEAN is nothing compare it to NATO.
Khmer German,
It is about talking, discussing, not fight.Smart Thai will gracefuly seltle
this conflict or els.. Remember :
Local polis,Stae polis and Federal Police.
Well, if UN can't do nothing to help Cambodia, i don't think Asean can't do much...either? Atleast they send some observers people to monitor the area...and keep an eyes on Thai soldier who kept throwing grenades to provoked the fighting....Every night, they shooting at khmer military post, inorder to start the fight or blamed cambodian....
I knew from the begining that UN will not do shit! Hun Sen must take Thailand to International court of Justice again...make them pay for all the damaged...Thailand will lost 200%!
