Cambodian leader talks peace after UN rebuff

By The Associated Press (CP)

PHNOM PENH, Cambodia — Cambodia's leader has offered words of peace to Thailand, a day after the United Nations rebuffed his request to intervene in his country's sporadic armed border conflict with its bigger neighbour.

Prime Minister Hun Sen (pictured) said Tuesday that his country needs peace with its neighbours to foster development. He urged that the deadly border issue be quickly solved and that fighting not be allowed to spread, calling for "a border of peace, friendship and co-operation."

The U.N. Security Council expressed "grave concern" Monday at the clashes and called for a permanent cease-fire to resolve the conflict in the disputed land surrounding Preah Vihear temple, a U.N. World Heritage site. At least eight people have died in fighting that began Feb. 4.

Cambodia never expected Thailand to leave Cambodia alone, dumbfuck 9:42AM. Thailand has never left Cambodia alone for many centuries. Soon or later, the table will turn around. Nothing is forever. Don't you ever for once think Cambodia will forget that. Right now, Cambodia is progressing and catching up, slowly but surely. This is expect consider what had happened to Cambodia in the last 30 years. Nevertheless, Cambodia is moving forward just fine. If Thailand smart, it needs to focus on its own internal political issues, instead of shifting and twisting its own problems on Cambodia with border issue nonsense. Thailand is slowly dividing. Its glistering shine is not as bright as it used to be. The economy is going to hell. Thailand's light is losing brightness. This should be your greatest fear, Thailand. Scrape shit off your shoe in your house before you take step into Cambodia. Respect you master. Remember who save you from your barbaric ways so you can be civilize. Khmer didn't expect former slaves to turned out to be thieves. Apperantly, once a thief, always a thief.
