An Ineffective NGO Law Is a Threat to Good Governance
Members of Parliament of the Sam Rainsy Party are gravely concerned with the purpose and impact after adoption of the Draft Law on Associations and NGOs as it will put at risk the fundamental rights and freedoms of our citizens and could diminish the need for social accountability. If adopted, the NGO law will leave much room for political discrimination and allow much space for government control of the implementation of NGO programs and activities. Read more...
