SAMRAINSYPARTY Greeting from Australia

Greeting to All!

On behalf of SRP ANZ, we wish everyone a very special Christmas & a prosperous New Year! It is time to celebrate our achievements and look for better ways to tackle the challenges tomorrow.

What a remarkable year 2010? The case regarding border issues between Cambodia and Vietname continue to play significant part of 2010. On this note, we welcome the release of those innocent farmers who were wrongly accused by the government in an attempt to silence the voice of the common people.

In 2010, President Sam Rainsy sent a powerful message to Prime Minister Hun Sen, when he filed the law suit against the Prime Minister at New York. President Sam Rainsy also reminded the people of K5. Though K5 was the second biggest genocide in Cambodia after Khmer Rouge, it attracted little attention. However, the case of K5 is not much difference from Khmer Rouge, Victims still want justice. When the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon visited the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia on 27 October 2010, in reference to the Khmer Rouge trial, he said “Let us send a strong and powerful signal to anyone anywhere who might commit such a crime in the future … never again”. We like to see more K5 in 2011!

SRP senior teams were very active in 2010, either in the national assembly, at the human right conference, visiting villagers or visiting victims of land grabbing. They truly deserved a BIG congratulation from all of us! Thank you for represent us and fighting for decent standard of living for all Cambodian, thank you for stand strong against Hun Sen’s government on many critical issues, yes we THANK YOU!

SRP ANZ also received good fortune in 2010, visited by MP Son Chhay, SG Ke Sovannroth, MP Cheam Channy, MP Yim Sovann and Lauk Pratean Sam Rainsy himself. Everyone left us a united message “Let us work together”! The president reminded us of many critical issues ahead, before the 2013 election – more than 4 million eligible voters’ ID card will be expire, he anticipated the challenges facing SRP supporter when time to renew their ID cards. At the round table, the President asked everyone for feedback and ideas. Ideas to tackle the challenges that we are facing, as the current government spend more and more time look at ways to suppress the opposition and the common people rather then develop plan to deviate poverty, address critical health issues and provide the quality education.

We want to hear from you, whether you are SRP supporters, CCP supporters, Kem Sokha supporters or do not affiliate to any party. We value your feedback! You can reach us on

Finally, please view the message from the President and help spread the words!
