The 21.8 kilometres long road from the Kork Morn Roundabout in Banteay Ampil district in Oddar Meanchey province to Ta Moan temple on the border with Thailand has been completed and the paving has begun by the Cambodian Army Engineering Unit.
Lt-Gen. Khvan Seam, commander of the Cambodian Army Engineering Unit, said the paving has commenced on 15th December and will be completed in the next three months. He added that the road was constructed in 2009 and was laid with gravels. He added that Prime Minister Hun Sen has tasked Oknha Kith Meng's CTN TV Foundation to raise fund to construct a 500-metre long road from the foot of the mountain to the Ta Moan temple compound.
However, the cost of the construction of the 21.8 kilometres long road from Kork Morn to the foot of the mountain is the responsibility of the government.
