Khmer Surin artists to perform in Cambodia

A group of 12 Khmer Surin artists from Thailand will perform in a number of locations in Cambodia for one week, starting from today 13th December.

Mr. Chey Mongkol, president of Khmer Language and Cultural Association in Surin, said the group will perform Kantreum Boran and Kantreum Samay at Royal Academy of Cambodia today 13th, on Bayon TV on Tuesday 14th and in Siem Reap city on 17th.

Mr. Chey Mongkol said the purpose of the Khmer Surin concert tour was to promote friendship, Khmer Surin culture and understanding between Khmers in Cambodia and Khmer Surin in Thailand. He said, currently there are between 5 to 6 million Khmers living in Thailand in Surin, Buriram, Sisaket, Korat and other provinces.
