The successes of Cambodia’s HIV prevention programme could be at risk, with donors now looking to cut funding. A report from the organisation, Results for Development, suggests that Cambodia will have to come up with its own funds to continue the programme, which currently costs about US$50 million a year. In the early 1990s there were more than 15,000 new HIV infections each year, but the programme has helped bring that number down to 2,100 according to last year’s figures. So how will Cambodia keep up the good work?
