A FUND-raiser for Woodend’s Cambodian Kids Foundation was held at the weekend to raise money for children and their families living in poverty in Cambodia.
It featured music from Stonefield, Dead River Deeps, Brother Johnstone, Lori and Woodend’s Youth Music Collective. Among the performers were Sam Cooper, Jack Rowland, Amy Miller and Rylee Hacke (pictured). Foundation founder Sam Cooper said the funds would help commission the Kimyeng Community Centre in Soksan Village.
The multipurpose centre, expected to be finished next year, will provide care for children while their parents are at work. It will also have a free health clinic and room for education forums.
The foundation is a not-for-profit organisation. Details: www.cambodiankidsfoundation.com
