ISLAMABAD (November 24, 2010) : Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani (pictured) on Tuesday expressed deep shock over the loss of several lives in an incident during the water festival celebrations in Cambodia. Prime Minister Gilani in a message to his Cambodian counterpart Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, expressed his deep condolences over the loss of lives and injuries to many following collapse of a bridge serving the Koh Pich Island in Phnom Penh on the final night of water festival celebrations.
"On behalf of the people of Pakistan and on my own behalf, I wish to convey to you and to the friendly people of the Kingdom of Cambodia, especially the victims and those who have lost their loved ones, our heartfelt sympathy and condolences over their loss and hardship due to this tragic incident," Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said.
