PENDLETON — Silk scarves, jewelry, fashionable handbags, ornaments, home decor and spices are among the items featured during the Cambodian Fair-Trade Craft Sale. The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Great Pacific Wine & Coffee Co., 403 S. Main St., Pendleton.
The hand-made gifts are crafted by landmine survivors, previously destitute women, families living with AIDS, former street children and the rural poor. Your purchase helps them directly and raises money for non-profit Friendship with Cambodia’s humanitarian projects, including sponsoring children in school and micro-credit programs for women.
