Cambodian films at SOUTHEASIA ON SCREEN @ The Doris Duke Theatre

Dear Friends,

We are thrilled to be presenting a contemporary exploration of Southeast Asian cinema to support the exhibition Four Thousand Years of Southeast Asian Art. Our team spent half a year tracking down the best films from six Southeast Asian countries, including Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The films span a variety of cinematic genres, from acclaimed festival favorites to family friendly box office hits to documentaries that take an uncompromising view of national politics to three programs of shorts from established and up-and-coming filmmakers, as well as a martial arts extravaganza and a cult horror film.

*Save when you buy a festival pass to 10 films at Southeast Asia on Screen - passes and tickets can be purchased online at http://honoluluacademy.tix.com

The festival runs from November 27 - December 20 - please check out the full line-up and festival trailer on the Academy website here. I've also attached information on the fantastic films about Cambodia screening at the festival.
We hope to see you soon!
Warm wishes,
