Air France will begin flights to Cambodia, 3 times a week via Bangkok, starting from the end of March 2011.
The announcement was made by Mr. Arnoud Camus, Assistant to the Deputy Director of Air France, during a meeting with Minister of the Council of Ministers and Deputy Prime Minister Sok An on Friday Morning, 5th November in Phnom Penh.

Mr. Phay Siphan, spokesman for the Council of Ministers, said Air France will commence its flights to Phnom Penh on 31st March 2011, but said there are more technical issues needed to be worked out.
Air France had commenced direct flights to Cambodia in 1970 but it stopped the flights indefinitely in 1975 when the Khmer Rouge took power in Cambodia.
