A senior Cambodian government official said Cambodia will not raise the Cambodian-Thai border dispute with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon who is due to arrive in Cambodia to night.
Mr. Phay Siphan (pictured), spokesman for the Council of Ministers, said Cambodia will not raise the border issue with the UN chief because Thailand had promised that the Thai parliament will ratify the three agreements with Cambodia. "Because we have reached a number of agreements with Thailand already and the Thai parliament has promised that it will approve and ratify the minutes of the Joint Land Boundary Commission's meetings", he said.
At the heights of the dispute in August, Mr. Hun Sen wrote a letter of complaint to the UN and angrily declared that he will raise the border issue with Mr. Ban Ki-moon when he visits Cambodia after Thai PM Abhisit Vejjajiva allegedly threatened to use force to evict Cambodian troops and villagers from an area near Preah Vihear temple claimed by Thailand.

Hun Sen is such an unreliable leader and a big liar. When he is angry he will say anything, but when the person he was upset with try to make him happy he forgot about everything. He is such a weak leader. This is life and death of our nation. Hun Sen must stick to his words by raising the border issue with the UN boss. Don't ever believe Thai lies anymore.
This is another mischievous decision by us again, or something else more to it that the people don't know about and I bet the results will be the losing end again for us, Cambodia caused by our educated, sophisticated, and intelligent leaders that we are currently having that. The Thai and the Viet, are continue to maliciously taking advantage of us, trapping and pinning us to corner time and time again, they knew that we are the most lawless, corrupted, and a bunch of imbecile leaders running the country.
