Sweet.... That would be more tanks and APC being added to Cambodia military arsenals. The new T-55 battle tank and new BTR-60 are 1950's and 1960's design and engineering but they're still being produced with the modern material and equipt with some of the lastest firepower. T-55 may not be as great as T-70's or T-90's but it sure packs plenty of punches. At this time Cambodia is being conservative with the purchase of these weapons because of limited military budget. Given a decade or so, Cambodia's economy will improve and the military budget will increase so more better high tech weapons will be
purchased. Nevertheless, Cambodia is much more armed than she ever had.
To all of our fellow Cambodian, let not have any bloodshed between our Cambodian people. If anything, let put to better use of this small amount of weaponry for the benefits of our country and people.
I hope this will make Thailand negotiating with Cambodia on good and sincere term. Thailand has intimidated Cambodia too often, now it must think twice. I hope Cambodia can add some jet fighters into its military arsenal. However, I fear this is only to consolidate Hun Sen's monopolistic power.
The T-55/Type-59 can be upgraded to Type-59P, or T-55AGM standard, anyway is still a good tank.
I would like to see cambodia buying more BM-21 and TOR-M1,BUK-M1,2 for anti-air defense...to warn Thailand and other greedy neighbors from look down on us!
Cambodia still has weak air defense yep! but i like to see cambodia get some of those T-99 tanks from our big brother China..
I am glad that cambodia keep improving their military power, but with these kind of Tanks...still too old for...? unless you upgrade them to something? may be L7 canons gun have to add to..? what about our airspace? do we have something like pariot missile to defend our airpace? what happend if Thailand bombs us alway from the SEA? i meant launch missile attack on us...from Koh Kut!
