State President Nguyen Minh Triet has wrapped up his official visit to Cambodia to promote the traditional relationship between the two countries.
Over the past days, all of Cambodia was decorated with colourful banners and flowers to welcome Mr. Triet and his delegation.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Doan Viet Trung said the visit was motivation to develop the time-honoured Vietnam-Cambodia relationship.
The visit laid a foundation to bring the relationship to a new height, said Trung.
In a party for the President, Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni said Cambodia people are very happy to have such good friends as the Vietnamese, who have helped them in their struggle against colonialism and imperialism.

In agreement with the king, Cambodian senior officials expressed their great gratitude to Vietnamese volunteer soldiers for their assistance in fighting the regime of genocide.

Great Supreme Patriarch Tep Vong and Great Supreme Patriarch Bou Kry said Vietnam not only helped Cambodia in its struggle but also in its re-construction and the development of Cambodian Buddhism.
Cambodia is now a developing country with industrial parks emerging from the “killing fields.”
In 2010, Cambodia’s economic growth could reach 5 percent and annual per capita income is expected to hit US$1,900. Economic co-operation between the two countries has also increased strongly in recent years. Vietnam has 63 projects in Cambodia with combined investment capital of more than US$900 million. Two-way trade turnover is estimated to be more than US$2 billion and high-quality Vietnamese products are securing a firm foothold in the Cambodian market.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen affirmed that his country’s economic development can be attributed to Vietnam’s contributions through investment and trade exchange. During the visit, President Nguyen Minh Triet and PM Hun Sen agreed to expand co-operation in mining, telecommunications, finance, banking, agriculture, forestry, fisheries, transport, culture and information. The two sides also agreed to complete land border demarcation by 2012 to create borders with peace and stability.

Investment between the two countries has been blooming in recent years, said Mr. Trung. Vietnam is one of the leading investors in Cambodia. At its current pace, Vietnam’s investment in Cambodia will reach a minimum of US$6 billion in the next five years, mainly in energy, hydroelectricity, aviation, banking, finance, oil and gas.
Over the ups and downs of history, close ties of solidarity and friendship between the two countries have been forged and developed. Mr. Triet, the Cambodian King and other leaders reaffirmed that those traditional ties are an invaluable asset which should last forever.
Mr. Triet said the two nations have lived together for a long time and they always stand side by side in hard times. Cambodia expressed its deep gratitude for Vietnam’s support, particularly for saving it from genocide, while Vietnam thanks Cambodia for its support during the resistance struggles. History has seen fine relations between the two countries so the current generation has the responsibility to develop the relationship and sustain it in the future.
During his visit to Cambodia, Mr. Triet also cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) bureau in Phnom Penh.

A bunch of bullshit to me. I guess Cambodia owed a lot of gratitude to Vietnam..huh? The Cambodian government are too stupid to really see what is Vietnam's true intension. The bastard only interest in helping Cambodi to help itself. During 1979 invasion, it was an opportunity Vietnam had prayed for so long. Vietnam was going make Cambodia its greatest land ever conquered since Champa and Kampuchea Krom. Do not buy into those false Vietnam's propaganda that Cambodia and Vietnam are the best friends. It's all a bunch of bullshit lies. Never trust an animal that call itself Vietnam.

How did Viet planed and advanced into Cambodia: in 1968 North Vietminh (Hanoi) encroached into Cambodia without any permission by the King.
That incursion was designed to pull America and Cambodia into a cold-war that led to a prolong civil war that we had from 1970-1999.

It was Hanoi that help to creat Khmer Rouge. Hanoi sent at least 200,000 troops into Cambodia that led to a fierce fightting in every part of Cambodia between North Vietminh troops and the Khmer Republican arm- forces, supported by America.
All Khmer intellectual people stood up again the Hanoi's invasion in her motherland. Early 1970, there were only 100 Khmer Rouge or less. Hanoi persuaded ignorant and uneducated Khmer to be Khmer Rouge to fight to get the King back to power, which was overthrown by Lun Nol,Who disliked King Sihanouk's policy that pro communist Hanoi and China as well as his play boy film-star-behaviour.

Cambodia was turned into a battle field that designed by Hanoi to pull America from bombing in Vietnam into Cambodia and Loas instead. Cambodia is recorded to have been bombed by American than the bombs were droped by allied on Germany and Japan during WWII.

In 1979-80,Hanoi did not allowed UN to give any food to staving Khmer. Why?Did they really wanted to save us from the killing field?

Although, later on food aid allowed to ship in many of those aids never reach to people in the countryside.
Hanoi controlled those aid for just their troops in Cambodia and its puppets.

in 1983-85 Hanoi had ordered Khmer civilian to walked on landmins that been planted by Khmer Rouge in western part of Cambodia,as a result thousand were killed and handicapped. Hanoi intention was to kill and finished Khmer off for conquering Cambodia.

History from the past was bitter enough, but many Khmer leaders are being sedated by the power and the technical dream coat of Hanoi.

Wake up think of the future our children depend on us.If we put our eggs onto the coiled- giant-snake nest,we will be disappearing from this planet soon.

Yes, Vietnam was the one who created the Khmer Viet Minh and the Khmer Rouge, helped them to take power in Cambodia in 1975 and aided them in the killing of nearly 2 million Cambodians. The Vietnamese invasion of Cambodia in 1979 was not to help save Cambodian lives from the Khmer Rouge, but because the Khmer Rouge fought back when Vietnam occupied large Cambodian territories along the borders. The CPP refuse to see and believe the Vietnamese crimes in Cambodia, but they only focus on Vietnam's supposed saviour of Cambodians in 1979, which was just to whitewash its crimes to the Cambodian people with its help of the KR to take power in 1975.

Maybe the current Cambodian leaders know everything you are posting here, but they don't know how to resist Vietnam without losing their current positions and for fear that their subordinates may become their boss since Cambodians are very good at serving others in order that they can rule their own people!

If you are not careful, the Vietnamese will choose other Cambodians to do your job and you always love your job more than your country!

Vietnam is S.O.B. Since freed itself from China about 900 years ago, Dai Viet(Vietnam) had decided to be a thief in order to exist as a nation. Vietnam used the dirtiest and the sleeziest tricks against its neighbors for the sake of territory expansion. Dai Viet's tactics initially seemed quite innocent through offering a marriage of Viet princess to Champa's king. One thing lead to another, the next thing Champa knows, Dai Viet had the upper hand and make Champa became dependence of Dai Viet and ultimaty annexed Champa into Dai Viet's territory. Afterward, there was a civil war in Annam. Many Viets took refuge in Prey Nokor of Kampuchea Krom. The trick was used again against the Khmer in 1665 through offering a marriage of Annam(Vietnam) princess to Khmer king. Suddenly those Viet had special rights and privileges. Afterward, those Viet began fighting against the Khmer, they were the Trojan Horse of Annam.
During the French colonial, Vietnam always kissing
the French ass to get favors and previlages. With those
favors and previlages, Vietnam was able to intervene in
Cambodia's political affair. Eventually, Vietnam was able to
fool the French into signing Kampuchea Krom to Vietnam
which make Kampuchea Krom became south Vietnam in 1949. Afterward, Hanoi decided to annexed south Vietnam
by kicking the French out. Vietnam War wasn't about
stopping the spread of communist but the stopping of Hanoi from expanding. All and all, Vietnam had proven to
be a nation of silence aggressor. It strenght are lies and deception. To be a neighbor to Vietnam is a curse.
